CUSCO → OLLANTAYTAMBO → AGUAS CALIENTES → MACHUPICCHU AND VICE VERSA
To visit Machupicchu in a single day, it is necessary to get up early, leaving at 3:40 a.m. from the hotel and travel from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, at whose station you board the train that has the town of Aguas Calientes as its final destination. Once you reach the place, you must board a bus that goes up to the access area to the sanctuary.
The visit begins with the ticket check and with the company of the guide who will lead the group through the most important places of the Inca city, showing and explaining all the most outstanding points and always willing to answer doubts and answer questions regarding the particularities. of Inca engineering and architecture, talking about the scientific theories regarding the sanctuary for a period of two hours, after which there is a reasonable amount of time to visit the place freely. The entire sanctuary is conveniently organized and signposted to enhance your experience.
The visit to Machupicchu concludes in coordination with the guide, then the return bus is boarded and you can optionally visit the Aguas Calientes thermal baths, the artisan markets and the local museum.
At 6:40 p.m. You board the train to make the return trip to Ollantaytambo, where the bus waits to transport you to Cusco, concluding the trip.
