A different and unique destination high in the eastern Andes that you cannot miss, a mountain where the rainbow touches the earth.
In the surroundings of Apu Ausangate is Vinicunca, a mountainous formation that, thanks to the existence of different minerals on the surface, presents a color pattern similar to that of a rainbow and that has been baptized as the “mountain of colors.” The place is reached after a bus trip of approximately three hours and a walk of one and a half hours, traveling a path that ascends to 5,200 m a.s.l.

Tour: Cusco → Rainbos Mountain – Vinicunca → Cusco.
The tour starts at 4:30 a.m. on a bus that heads towards the community of Paucarpata where you arrive after a three-hour trip, you have breakfast there, and then head to the Chillihuani bus station.
From this last location, the ascent hike begins until reaching the mountain of colors, which can be done in an hour and a half. After spending a good amount of time to admire the scene and the surrounding landscapes, you return along the same path. , upon arrival a delicious buffet lunch awaits you to enjoy Peruvian food.
The return bus will arrive in the city of Cusco at approximately 3:30 p.m., concluding this adventure.
